EXTREME VOCAL INSTITUTE BLOG

We are less than one month into 2025 and we're already off and running with good vibes for Extreme Vocal Institute! Here's what's happened thus far:

ONE.

David has been featured in a video on YouTube's channel with other vocal coach creators to highlight our community and his work on our channel. Drop a 💬 on it if you've been loving our channel ♥️

TWO.

Speaking of YouTube - we've been on 🔥 posting new long form videos this year and we don't plan on stopping! If you haven't seen them, check out the following:

We have lots more planned for our channel this year and will be diving back into our Behind The Screams interview series very soon!

THREE.

Our course program EVI Now has gotten a visual makeover with new features to help streamline the learning process and help you track your progress throughout our courses. We've also published a new course, making that THIRTY EIGHT in total.

New formatting for EVI Now courses allows easier navigation through lessons and progress tracking

We plan to continue expanding and improving the program through the rest of 2025 to ensure that our members are getting the most out of their time with us and always have new things to dive into and work on.

If you are a member and are enjoying the program, please consider leaving us a review here. We are particularly interested in hearing about how the new updates are treating you all!

We are currently running a sale to celebrating the new features on EVI Now! Save 35% on all plans with the code NEWLOOK at checkout.

FOUR.

David has been on tour with his band Renesans and doing in-person lessons while on the road. We will be continuing to offer this on future tours where venues and scheduling permits. It's been a great success thus far and David has been really enjoying getting to meet so many of you and talk vocals!

If you want us to make in-person lessons available in your area, request a show in your city via Bandsintown so we can submit a list to Renesans' booking agent to hopefully make it to your area sometime in 2025!

Admittedly, 2024 was a bit of an odd year for us as we learned how to balance David's band getting busier with staying on top of all our platforms with Extreme Vocal Institute (we aren't perfect) BUT we've found a really good balance and are committed to making sure that both Renesans and Extreme Vocal Institute remain of equal priority!

Looking forward to making the rest of 2025 bigger and better! Thank you for all the continued support and for helping us reach new heights in every direction.

Had to sneak one more course in before the end of 2022! ✨

This course was designed to answer a lot of questions David was asked while out on the road this year! We’ve also developed a practice routine and way for you to keep track your progress on your vocal goals.

Course 31 is called "Level up your vocals" and it's going to help you do exactly that! Get the most out of your practice sessions to level up your voice. Setting goals helps you add structure to your practice and develop positive muscle memory. Level up your vocals with our practice scorecard developed to motivate you to meet your goals and gauge progress. In this course, David talks about the components that make for a complete vocalist and gives you the tools to help you round out your repertoire to reach the next milestone in your vocal journey.

Course objectives include: 1) Identify the use of structure in practice 2) Learn how to realistically set goals for yourself 3) Apply realistic goal setting 4) Apply practice scorecard to practice.

Run time for Course 31 is 1 hour, 4 minutes and 14 seconds.

We couldn't just kick off the holiday season with one course, we had to drop two! Course 29: False cord scream activations and Course 30: Fry scream activations.

There’s never just one right way of doing something. Courses 29 and 30 explore eight different ways to activate the false cord and fry screams respectively. These methods have been developed and road tested by David with artists on tour and with students at home everywhere. Although every voice is different, there is always a method that works for each person just waiting to be discovered. New exercises, demonstrations, perspectives and so much more await. For every vocalist out there, these courses are for you.

*Use code BLEGHKFRIDAY when signing up to receive 40% off until 11:59pm ET Monday November 28*

Course objectives include: (1) Identify at least one method of false cord scream/fry scream activation that works for you (2) Revisit previous methods of false cord scream/fry scream activation with new perspective (3) Put method(s) into practice.

Run time for Course 29 is 46 minutes 59 seconds and run time for Course 30 is 47 minutes 21 seconds.

These courses were developed with user feedback in mind as David has met so many of you while on the road. We are always looking to improve and expand upon our ability to communicate these techniques with you and we are so excited to share these courses with you!
